taco night

since bennett and i are becoming quite the cooks

joke... but we're trying

we decided to make tacos the other night.

the were so delicious!
and it was really pretty simple.
we seasoned beef and put them in hard taco shells
with cheese,
mexican roasted corn,
lettuce,
bennett's special chili sour cream,
and topped it off with taco sauce.

although, i will say
the orangina margaritas were my favorite part.
i'll have to post that recipe sometime
because they were to die for
...i might have had more than one.

homemade pizza

the other night
bennett and i made the most delicious pizza.
we got the dough and toppings from trader joe's
and baked it on our pizza stone in our tiny oven.
it was delicious,
especially with a glass of red wine.

we are slowly starting to get the hang of this cooking thing,
and we're really starting to enjoy it.

this calls for a feast!

bennett gets home tonight

so as a surprise i cooked him dinner!

i have never really cooked before so this was all new to me.

i even made a little menu !

we're having hummus and pita as an appetizer

stuffed shells for the main course

and then i'm making cosmopolitans

i can't wait to see his face again!

i have missed him so much
