a little sunday field trip

yesterday was rainy and lazy

but it ended up being my favorite day i've had so far in florida.

what did we do?

we went to ikea.

that's right.

ikea.

that place is heaven on earth, i tell you.

i felt like a kid in a toy store.

we just walked around

and talked about what we'll get once we have a home of our own.

i might have even picked out the perfect crib and changing table

(and we're not anywhere near having babies)

we left with a bottle with a stopper

(which bennett is now making basil infused rum in)

some really cute kitchen towels

and a bar of chocolate.

it was a good day.

and someday we'll go back and get these beauties...

a day at busch gardens

the day before my birthday trip

bennett and i went to busch gardens.

we had a blast looking at all of the animals

and riding some roller coasters.

i'm already looking forward to going back!

the civil wars

our first night in st. augustine

bennett surprised me 

by taking me to see the civil wars.

goodness gracious.

they were amazing.

he told me to put on something cute

and then took me to dinner.

he said we were doing something after,

but wouldn't tell me what.

we pulled up to a building and got out of the car

and bennett told me since he couldn't take me to nashville for my birthday

he brought a little bit of nashville to me.

and then he told me we were there to see the civil wars perform.

i started bawling, people. 

SOBBING.

needless to say,

they were amazing and perfect in every way.

we met them afterwards

and joy williams told me she liked my blouse 

and wanted to know where i got it.

she's even more beautiful in person.

best birthday surprise ever.

st. augustine, fl

i fell in love with st. augustine.

it is seriously one of the most beautiful places i have ever been

and i didn't want to leave.

in fact 

i tried really hard to convince bennett that we should move there.

he said maybe.

honeymoon island

the other day bennett and i went back to honeymoon island.

it has become one of our favorite places to visit

since he proposed to me there 2 years ago.

we had the most wonderful day just walking around

finding the bench where he proposed to me

and chasing armadillos

you know...

just normal stuff.

tomorrow i leave for tampa with bennett

to visit his family for a few days

and go to the beach

and then go to HARRY POTTER WORLD (!!!!!)

at universal studios in orlando

and i cannot even express my excitement
