the beach and a red balloon

here are a few things that are making me so very happy right now

(besides the polaroid above and, of course, the person in it)

...

-the fact that, if my schedule works out, i won't have class on fridays

-back to school shopping (it never gets old, even when you're 20)

-thinking of all the art classes that i get to take this semester

-i am kind of ready to start wearing sweaters again, so hurry up autumn

-agape

we made it!

after 11 hours in a car it feels so good to be home.

we had so much going on this past week that it flew by.

here's a list of some of the highlights

and of course

-fighting over whose ipod to listen to during the drive

-getting good news from the doctor

-watching baby bennett in home videos (i fell in love all over again)

-spending an overcast day at the beach

-seeing the time traveler's wife at a drive-in theatre

-bennett's brother's graduation party

home sweet home

it's the end of my trip.

bennett and i will embark on our 12 hour drive home tomorrow

(which i am not looking forward to)

to enjoy our last few days of summer before classes start.

we have had a wonderful time, though.

when i get back home i'll post a long list of all the fun things we got to do along with some polaroids.

sorry for the lack of posts

i'm in gainesville right now
bennett has an appointment tomorrow morning
(fingers crossed)
it's just a checkup but i still get so nervous.

farewell summer

only two more weeks left of summer!

bennett and i are driving down to auburn for his brothers graduation on monday

and then spending the week with his family in tampa.

i do love road trips so much

but he has a few doctors appointments while we're down in florida

so i'm more nervous than i am excited.

and by the time i get back, my roommate will be home!

she's been in london for the past month and i've missed her dearly.

i guess i should start cleaning the apartment...

this is my favorite song. ever.

i will walk down the aisle to it at my wedding.

i need to exercise my brain

i want to start painting again.

and sewing again.

a little canoe trip

yesterday bennett and i took a canoe trip down the harpeth river.

it was supposed to be a four hour trip....

and it took us seven hours. seven!

it was so wonderful though.

we saw creatures

we read

we explored

we got super frustrated

oh, and we saved a dog named fancy from drowning.

we decided we must go canoeing more often.

the other day bennett and i took a little trip to scarritt bennett and ended up with a few photos. enjoy!

this week is going to be wonderful. i have a double date, a canoe trip, and a visit to the zoo to look forward to!
