fresh summer salad

i don't think i have ever posted food or a recipe on here

but this summer salad is far too delicious not to share.

all you need is:
fresh baby spinach
a granny smith apple, cut into thin slices
a few strawberries, cut into small pieces
feta cheese
almonds
and marzetti white balsamic dressing

it is so easy
and so good.

despite it's tiny size.

but i reworked it to make it look like me and bennett.

(it reminds me of the berenstain bears!)

i love our bedroom.
i really can't say it enough.
i feel safe
and loved
and at home.

sunday

it's a sunday, alright.
we cleaned our entire apartment
and went to the grocery
and picked up a few things at the mall
and then made a delicious pasta salad for dinner.

now that it's clean,
i'll finally be posting some photos of our cozy little home this week
as long as it doesn't turn into a mess again
before i can snap some pictures.

2 months ago...

2 months ago today i made the best decision of my life
and married my best friend.

marriage is something else, let me tell ya.
it's hard.
and you have to work at it.
but by golly,
it is worth everything.
i would swim across an ocean for this boy.
i'm talking shark infested waters with jelly fish.
blindfolded.

it's an adventure
because sometimes it's scary.
but mostly it's fun
and beautiful
and even better than you ever could have imagined.

i have never been so happy in my life.

love is...

love is:

- waking up at 7 with me just to put my english muffin in the toaster
- leaving notes on the bathroom mirror for the other to find
- lying in bed until 3am just talking, laughing, and crying together
- "just because i love you" gifts
- doing all the dishes. all of them. not just the ones you used.
- the greatest thing on earth
