a little house tour

nesting has kicked in

and i kind of love it. 

this house has never been cleaner.

i decided to take some photos around our little home the other day

since there's no telling how long it will stay this way.

a hurricane fort

sunday night everyone was freaking out 

because they thought a hurricane was going to hit tampa.

they even cancelled schools for monday

and bennett got his classes called off as well.

so what do you do when you're expecting a hurricane?

you build an awesome hurricane fort

and watch alfred hitchcock films, of course.

it was the best.

and it hardly even stormed that night.

a few things

- we finally got internet! oh, how i've missed blogging.

- i'm done teaching for the summer!

- i just found out that i got a permanent teaching position beginning in the fall. hallelujah!

- our house is slowly but surely coming together. photos to come as soon as we finish.

today is our last day in nashville.

it has been full of good food

good friends

and a lot of relaxing.

it kind of kills me to leave again.

one day we'll end up back here

i just know it.

reasons why i'm going to miss nashville

as much as i sometimes (usually) hated this place

i really will miss our very first home (apartment).

it's where we spent our first 7 months of married life

and despite the lack of counter space

closets

and air conditioning

and it's abundance of dust

brown recluse spiders

and noise from neighbors,

it did have charm

and it's where we called home.

i came across this beautiful blog yesterday 

and i couldn't stop looking at it.

can you believe how beautiful this farmhouse is!?

 love it.

what a perfect place to live.

i'm back!

and i feel so refreshed after our little getaway.

i'm taking 4 rolls of film to get developed

and i'm so excited to see them and post some on here real soon.
