a perfect day

instead of writing my educational philosophy

(which i should be)

i decided to plan my perfect day

so here it is...

wake up to bennett making me waffles just the way i like them

snuggle until noon

go to the park and play chess and eat grapefruit paletas

play with babies

go to the beach

(because in my perfect world the beach would be a 10 minute drive from my apartment)

have a beach party with all my friends and family and tons of delivered pizzas

watch the sun set

go back and watch a movie with bennett with orangina and kettle corn

snuggle

snuggle

sleep

so last semester in my clay class

when we had to choose a painting to recreate

i chose this one...

and ended up with this...

i miss that class.

i think i'll have to take clay 2 next semester

happy birthday sister!

today is my little sister's birthday!

i cannot believe she is 18 already.

she is truly one of the most beautiful people i know

inside and out

and is mature way beyond her years.

i am so lucky to have her as my sister

and as my best friend

we want to go to an orchard and pick apples soon

saturday morning snuggle time is my favorite part of the week

only one more day...

our love just never stops growing.

i am really starting to enjoy my figure drawing class...

what a day

today was such a wonderful day.

after a massive amount of snuggling bennett and i went to goodwill with my little sister ellen. we then went to the farmer's market where i finally purchased my...drumroll please....cactus! i had been wanting one for a while now and i finally have one that sits perfectly in my window sill. and bennett ended up getting a venus fly trap that he named perelandra (i'm still thinking of a name for mine, but i think i may just call him cactus). After that, a quick game of chess, and then we went with his brother to see this movie which i actually kind of enjoyed (despite the blood, guts, and gore). then my dad came over to my apartment and he helped me get our living room put together. my little apartment is finally starting to feel like a real home. and, of course, bennett just came over to tuck me in goodnight and i remembered how much i love him and how incredibly blessed i am.

oh and i lied a couple of posts ago. we didn't end up seeing paper heart but we are going to soon!

and we're off to a terrible start

it is pouring outside

i don't think i slept more than an hour last night

i feel terrible

i just want to sleep

i hope this day starts to get better...

...and i sure hope i don't have swine flu
